I don’t get it
A teenaged boy falls for an older woman. She marries and eventually dies in childbirth. He insinuates himself into the child’s life. We meet the child as an adult. She’s been in love with the same man since she was 8. The day before she marries him, the unapologetic “hero” kidnaps her. Yep, there’s rape in this one and somehow he’s the good guy. We can see how great he is when she’s faced with even more brutal rapists. It’s not a sweet story, but if you like that kind of thing, I’m not judging.
The second book…. The first half is mostly Adam’s love story. His sister’s story is in the second half. It’s kind of hard to follow at first, but you get there. The second half of the second book involves the heroine in a harem so… again… if that’s your thing I’m not judging.
I just read the books because I paid for them.
The writing is pretty good, but I did start skipping through dialogue sometimes.
