following the kind of diet that Dr. MacDougall advises has helped me understand why I gain weight, how to eat tons of food and stay slim and become healthy. Among other things I save allot of money as I can eat for a few bucks a day. I have allot of energy and endurance. A shame that not more people pay attention to his life saving and empowering book.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I also love the way that Dr.Mcdougall is able to explain things so that I completely understand. I will be starting MMWL as of January 1st 2017, and I look forward to trying out these delicious sounding recipes provided in the book!

John McDougall, M.D., is the author of many previous books, including The McDougall Program, The McDougall Program for Maximum Weight Loss, and The New McDougall Cookbook. He is also the author of The Healthiest Diet on the Planet: Why the Foods You Love—Pizza, Pancakes, Potatoes, Pasta, and More—Are the Solution to Preventing Disease and Looking and Feeling Your Best. He is the founder and director of the McDougall Program at St. Helena Hospital in Napa Valley, California, and has a nationally syndicated television show as well as a weekly radio program. He lives in Santa Rosa, California.
