Surrender: A Devil's Den Novel

This explosively hot novel drew me in on many different levels. The relationship between the main characters was turbulent, emotional, and erotically charged. The plot of the story combined the best of romance with the worst of life. Rand made difficult to swallow topics accessible to the masses without sacrificing the integrity of her story. She builds a complex world for her characters to live in, combining the angst generally associated with the NA genre with all of the realities of the real world into something that will definitely capture your attention. Rand’s emotional characters definitely tugged at my heart. She shows the same story from both perspectives, sometimes going over the same scene from both sides. This dual perspective was very well done and really enriched the story while also giving readers an inside look at the main characters. I love how you really get a feel for both main characters, their thoughts, and their situations this way. This is a fantastic first novel in Rand’s new series. I’m already counting down the days until the sequel is released. Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

Robyn is kicked out of her home by her mother at the age of 15 with two garbage bags of belongings. But she is strong, determined and has survived. She is determined to make something of herself. At 20, she is now a junior in college and dances at The Devil's Den, a strip club. One late night she is out and she overhears a drug dealer threatening someone. The drug dealer sees her and starts chasing her. She runs right into Garrick or his truck I should say. And of course sparks fly between the two of them. And lo and behold, the next day she meets Garrick again at The Devil's Den. Although Garrick has a degree in engineering he decides to give up this stressful high powerful job and become the head of security at the club. Garrick and Robyn are of course attracted to each other right away. Robyn is a determined, independent woman. While Garrick is this strong, confident Alpha male he could be over bearing at times. He had a tendency to tell Robyn where she could go and who she could he also has a tender side. Overall it was a solid read. Look forward to stories involving other characters.

This book was not the best to read, I was very disappointed with it. Her MC books are better written.
