I thought this was an excellent story with strong, interesting characters, a unique storyline and superior writing. This is the second book in the Austin Heroes series but it can easily be read standalone. Justin Archer is a Texas Ranger that finds himself in a very awkward situation when he has an intense attraction to the wife of the victim in his latest case. Lori Roberts always assumed her husband just ran off and hasn't bothered to return. After all their last conversation ended with him admitting he never wanted to be a husband or father and he wanted a divorce. When a body is discovered on the property of the family vineyard Lori now runs, she becomes the prime suspect in her husbands murder. Luckily the Ranger assigned to the case believes she had nothing to do with his death. As they work together to solve the case, they grow closer and a relationship forms between the two. Will Justin be able to find the evidence he needs to prove her innocence and bring the real killer to justice? Lots of twists in this one! Definitely a book I recommend.
