About this ebook

Opposites attract in this seductive novel from the author of Against the Cage (“Funny, steamy, scorching.”—Toni Aleo), with a chiseled MMA fighter falling for a single mom who could use a real man in her corner.

Working two jobs to support her infant daughter is harder than anything Penny Richards has ever done, but it sure beats living under the rules of her stepfather, a television preacher who demands a picture-perfect family. And if Penny hadn’t struck out on her own, she never would have met Travis Calhoun. The intensely physical heavyweight brawler has a way of drawing out her wild side. But Travis lives fast, with no responsibilities—and that just isn’t for Penny.

Most of the women in Travis’s circle wear tight clothes, high heels, and tons of makeup—not pearls or plaid headbands. But once he works past Penny’s inhibitions, Travis discovers a kindred spirit who longs to trust someone with her body, and her secrets. Still, Travis can’t help but wonder if this rich girl is just slumming it before she returns to her privileged life. Now it’s up to Penny to prove that she wants her hard-edged, hard-loving fighter just the way he is.

An awesome final addition to Worth the Fight series. In this installment we finally get Travis "Texas" Calhoun's story. At the end of Fighting Dirty we saw that Travis had an interest in JL's co-worker Penny. Penny is a struggling single mother running from her past. Working two jobs leaves little time for her to spend with her daughter much less date which is why she has repeatedly declined Travis's attempts for a date. When a really crappy day leaves her in the arms of Travis she cannot deny the feelings he stirs in herbut when he shares his feelings about children (unaware that Penny has a daughter she has been keeping from everyone) Penny knows her feelings for Travis can never go anywhere. When Penny's safety is threatened Travis will do everything to keep Penny and her daughter safe and lead him down a road he never pictured himself traveling. I loved the raw emotion Penny and her daughter Belle were able to pull out of Travis. This big, sexy MMA fighter bares his soul for them and in return finds the love he didn't know he was missing in his life. I loved this book and am so sad that this series is ending. I received an eARC of this book compliments of the publisher in exchange for my honest opinion and review. All opinions stated are my own.

ARC Review: Stacked Up (Worth The Fight) by Sidney Halston Travis was eye-popping, mouthwatering, pantie dropping delicious. The way he looked out for Penny and her daughter was fantasy material for sure. What made it even better was that he had no clue how awesome he was. Trademark Sidney Halston. Ms. Halston can get down and dirty with the best of them when it comes to her writing skills. I always knew there was more to Penny. She had a strength that was born of necessity. Her dreams seemed a long way off and life had not been kind but she loved hard and was willing to humble herself over and over in order to provide for her daughter. Knew Stacked Up was going to be good but it exceeded my expectations. It was marvelous: 5+++ review.

For the finale book in the series it went out with a bang. The characters were great. There was a lot of angst and passion. For Penny life has gone in a completely different direction she could have ever imagined. A preacher's daughter now running into the unknown as a single mother takes a lot of guts. Penny has this sweet innocent side, but when she's with Travis he brings out a side she never knew she had. I loved Travis. He's this big bad fighter that's adamant that children have no place in his life. He's has some demons to work through, but watching him fall when it comes to Penny's little girl is priceless. I liked the chemistry between Penny and Travis. They're both on a journey to find their true selves and what they find in each other is so beautiful. For the journey for all in this book the epilogue was the beautiful touch that left my heart happy after reading this book.
