Racist ideals galore
“The lands of the Aztec’s where they built temples and north to the lands of the Cheyenne and Apache where they built nothing”
Ugh.... it’s very difficult to listen to this story and know the author was a blatant racist.
Robot voice is terrible
I can’t finish it! The preview voice is NOT the reader. The reader is a robot and it is unbearable. I want my money back! The whole first part of the book is evolutionary dribble.
Great book robot Narrator
The narrator is just horrible. Like a robot. I really don’t know how Mr Michener lets the narrator ruin his books. I tortured my way through two novels, then bought the Drifters and a Grisham book. After listening to the dynamic and engaging narrator of the Grisham novel, I just can’t listen to this narrator any longer. Too bad as would love to buy more of Mr Michener’s audio book.
