I have to confess that for the majority of this book I was in a state of confusion. Not sure if this story started in a previous book or what but I felt like I didn't have the backstory that would have made this one less confusing. I never really connected with these characters nor did I feel the connection between Maria and Ian either. Again the backstory might have helped but for me this story just didn't work.
About the author
Jill Sorenson is the RITA-nominated author of more than a dozen romantic-suspense novels. She has a degree in literature and writing from California State University.
