About this ebook

ONE OF TIME’S TEN MOST IMPORTANT NONFICTION BOOKS OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY

In the searing pages of this classic autobiography, originally published in 1964, Malcolm X, the Muslim leader, firebrand, and anti-integrationist, tells the extraordinary story of his life and the growth of the Black Muslim movement. His fascinating perspective on the lies and limitations of the American Dream, and the inherent racism in a society that denies its nonwhite citizens the opportunity to dream, gives extraordinary insight into the most urgent issues of our own time. The Autobiography of Malcolm X stands as the definitive statement of a movement and a man whose work was never completed but whose message is timeless. It is essential reading for anyone who wants to understand America.

Praise for The Autobiography of Malcolm X

“Extraordinary . . . a brilliant, painful, important book.”The New York Times

“This book will have a permanent place in the literature of the Afro-American struggle.”—I. F. Stone

One of the best books Ive ever read, especially in the genre of autobiographies. The message Malcolm X conveys through the brilliant writing of Alex Haley is unforgettable.. While reading the book, it had me many times looking at the people and world around me in a different light and still does . A MUST-READ!! for all minorities of people to see how a man of color stood up against an entire country because of how he believed how wrong his people were and being treated.. Could go on and on.. Unforgettable

Bro. Malcolm X is one figure that has been misunderstood and misrepresented throughout history. This book is truly an enlightening look into the man, the mystery, the myth which is Malcolm X. I have gained a better understanding of him as a man and a model. In the end, he changed his views and only wanted justice for all Humans. I encourage everyone to read this book and reflect on yourself. Many of the issues then are still relevant today.

A hero to all. The best book ever written. People are standing on the shoulders of this intellectual giant. People who support BLM clearly do not have the intellect to understand the message of both Malcolm and MLK
