Devil’s Honor is the first book in a new series The Devil’s Keepers by Megan Crane. The Devil’s Keepers are a motorcycle club that rules the town of Lagrange in the outback country of Louisiana. Surrounded by swamps and bayous, you are introduced to the members of this club and their code. Merritt Broussard was the doctor’s daughter who left town to follow the dreams instilled in her by her father from an early age. One summer between college and law school, she had a summer fling with a bad-boy biker, leaving scorching memories to help her survive her lonely future. Five years later and she’s back in Lagrange, with trouble following her, still attracted to that hard, dangerous man. Joseph “Greeley” Shaw found the Devil’s Keepers after his enlistment overseas was completed and never looked back. Greeley was determined to live and die by their code and no one came between him and his brothers; at least not until he meets Merritt, who touched his soul. Greeley resolved to honor his commitments. That includes keeping Merritt safe. This was an intense, entertaining story with well written, complex and authentic characters. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. I enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. Ms Crane takes the reader deep into the bayou country where one could feel the heat and humidity that surrounded the swamps as they read this hot and sexy story. Her characters are real, do not apologize for their behavior and are led by their animal instincts. I highly recommend this book to other readers, especially those looking for a hot and dirty read in the motorcycle genre. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Loved it! This is the first book in a new motorcycle club series and it doesn't disappoint. Merritt is the local doctor's daughter that escapes from the backwoods Louisiana town she was from. She left for college, then law school, and even the attentions of a sexy outlaw biker couldn't get her to stay. Greeley is an outlaw biker member of the Devil's Keepers and his bad side is out front and in your face in a way that a person can't miss. He doesn't hide anything and, if you were to ask him if he was a bad man, he'd be the first to say yes. But he has a sweet spot for Merritt and asked her to stay and be his old lady, but all that led to is Merritt running away and not returning for five years. Once Merritt returns, she is not so much returning as she is escaping something even more frightening than an outlaw biker - even if the outlaw biker gets into her pants just 15 minutes after she arrives home. What follows is a very hot and very dirty tale that isn't for the faint of heart, but if you like a wild MC romance, you will love this book. This is a must read for fans of the genre.
