Devil's Mark: The Devil's Keepers

Definitely liked this one. Holly Chambless has always lived the life of a princess. Daughter of the mayor and the town good girl. Now her life has been turned up side down with her father embroiled in scandal and disgrace her perfect life is no longer so perfect. Tired of the miss perfect title Holly decides to take a job as a bartender in the local MC's bar. Is she really ready for the down and dirty lifestyle of the bikers and specifically Killian “Uptown” Chenier. Uptown is definitely dirty and he's willing to help dirty up little Miss Holly any time she wants!! I definitely recommend this one.

Loved! Wow, another wild read and a worthy follow up to the Devil's Honor. This is a very sexy novel where the Devil's Keepers motorcycle club allow their town mayor to get arrested for theft and other assorted crimes. As part of their payback, Uptown sets his sites on the mayor's virginal daughter. What could be a better payback than a dirty outlaw biker to soil her? Uptown and Holly have a bit of a history though, and Uptown extends his protection to her before she even understands what that means. Then he provides eduction in the areas not covered by her college degree. While the above is occurring, there is a rift in the MC that is percolating in the background. This adds an added edge to an already edgy novel. This book is not for the faint of heart, because this MC likes their sex frequent and raunchy. Fans of the genre will love this book. While it is part of a series, this is a stand alone novel.

Devil’s Mark is the second book in The Devil’s Keepers series by Megan Crane. The Devil’s Keepers are a motorcycle club that rules the town of Lagrange in the outback country of Louisiana. Surrounded by swamps and bayous, you are introduced to the members of this club and their code. Ms. Crane is an outstanding writer painting vivid pictures of the events happening on the page. She knows how to bring out the heat as well as the down and dirty sex in her outstanding writing. Holly is Mayor Benny Chambless’ daughter and she recently returned to Lagrange after graduating college. She is tired of being the good girl, especially after her dad is charged with corruption. Holly takes the chance to do all the things she never dared before after reconnecting with the bad boy biker of her dreams. Killian “Uptown” Chenier found a family when he joined the Devil’s Keepers away from his druggie mother. He enjoys the biker life, especially the wild sex. That is until he sets his sights on Holly and no other woman attracts his interest. This was an intense, entertaining story with well written, complex and authentic characters. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. I enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. Ms Crane takes the reader deep into the bayou country where one could feel the heat and humidity that surrounded the swamps as they read this hot and sexy story. Her characters are real, do not apologize for their behavior and are led by their animal instincts. I highly recommend this book to other readers, especially those looking for a hot and dirty read in the motorcycle genre. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
