Publisher Description
Discover Crossfades and Bleedovers, a pair of dystopian novellas in the same vein of Stephen King, Joe Hill, and Dean Koontz. From an author who “never lets up” (Publishers Weekly), this gripping ebook bundle features a nightmarish hellscape that will be heaven for horror fans.
There’s only one thing standing between humanity and the dark forces of the supernatural: the secret agency known as The Institute. The organization depends on regular guys like Chuck Grainger, a Recon and Enforcement Technician who guides tormented spirits into the next life. From an office deep underground, Chuck projects his spirit into Crossfades, monstrous realms where the souls of the dead, unable to move on due to fear or anger, devise macabre tortures for themselves and one another. He’s always been able to leave his work behind at the end of the day—until now. Because Chuck’s work is coming after him.

Imaginative and Entertaining
I read and reviewed "Bleedovers" as an individual book. This publication combines "Bleedovers" with "Crossfades" in a single volume. Rose deals in the space between life and death in a straightforward and believable manner. The action takes place in an environment created by the soul of a person that has died, but failed to cross into the spirit realm. This device allows for a level of horror unmatched by anything else I have read. Both of these stories quickly immerse the reader in a series of highly emotional and frightening experiences, and the tension never lets up. The descriptions are uncanny, and create perfect mental images to thrill the reader. The level of realism makes the action all the more frightening. For a memorable reading experience, try this set of stories.
