About this ebook

From the author of Fly with Me comes the second romance in the Wild Aces series.

Eric Jansen—call sign Thor—loves nothing more than pushing his F-16 to the limit. Returning home to South Carolina after a tragic loss, he hopes to fix the mistake he made long ago, when he chose the Air Force over his fiancée.

Becca Madison isn’t quick to welcome Thor back. She can’t forget how he shattered her heart. But Thor won’t give up once he’s set his sights on what he wants—and he wants Becca.

Thor shows Becca that he’s no longer the impulsive boy he used to be, and Becca finds herself irresistibly drawn to him. But will Thor be able to walk away from his dream of flying the F-16 for their love or does his heart belong to the sky?

This second book in the Wild Aces series is right up there in the hot category that I found in the first book Fly With Me. Ms Cleeton has once again delivered on the sexy, drop dead gorgeous men who are F-16 Fighter Pilots and the women who love them. Along with the mental eye candy she provides, the author also delivers on clever, whip smart dialogue and lots of witty banter...which I'm finding to be her trademark brand of writing. This is the story of Eric (call sign Thor) and Becca, the woman he was engaged to and left to join the Air Force, and become a fighter pilot, ten years ago. After a chance encounter, and ten years of no communication, Becca is thrown off balance when Eric is suddenly tossed back into her life. Though she tries to ward off his draw, she cannot ignore the heat he nearly scorches her with each time he is near. Ms Cleeton simply has a gift for creating explosive chemistry between her characters...the kind that jumps off the pages and grabs you, holding on tight until way past the end of the book. This is definitely one book that you'll think about long after you have finished reading it. I look forward to the third book in the Wild Aces series, Broken Wings, about Alex (call sign Easy) and Dani. Anyone who has read the first two books in the series will know what a phenomenal story this one will be. This book was provided by Netgalley for my honest review.

It’s a second-chance romance you don’t want to miss. Eric and Becca had a past – it was pretty amazing until it ended. What was supposed to be something beautiful and supposed to end in happy-ever-after turned out to be messy, painful and heartbreaking that brought the two of them apart. They were pretty young when they fell in love, and yet it was true, it was pure, until life got in a way and pulled them apart. Eric went to the air force and Becca started lawschool. For ten years, their paths haven’t crossed, even if they live in the same small town. But fate is about to push them together – it was time. Eric decided to have a break from work after the accident that happened. He decided to go home and find some time to relax and clear his mind. And perhaps to see the girl, or woman that held his heart for the very long time. The two characters are just easy to love. They are just perfect for each other. Eric is a great guy, he can be an a** sometimes, but he’s caring, thoughtful, and hot. Becca, on the other hand, is a strong, independent woman you’d simply adore. Despite their history together, no doubt the fire is still burning. Trying to get through their past was quite hard, especially for Becca. It was hard watching the two of them struggling to do it. Although the love is still there, but the painful memories would put it on the back seat most of the time. Nevertheless, I was glad when they finally decided to compromise and work things out. The two of them are older and wiser and more mature, they have already reached their goals and finally felt that they are worthy of each other. I had an amazing time reading it – I laughed, I squirmed, I got teary-eyed in some parts. It was a perfect mix of drama, steam and romance. Into the Blue is a fantastic addition to Chanel Cleeton’s series. A perfect story of second-chances, forgiveness, and healing.

This review was written by Marie for a guest review post on Ever After Book Reviews blog: 3 Stars Meh. I hate it when I have to review a book that I didn’t particularly love. Into the Blue is that book for me. It was entirely too Top Gun-esque and extremely cliché. At first, I enjoyed the pace of the story and the characters. The author had a lot to work with and began the book really well. But somewhere along the way, I lost interest and just couldn’t get in to the so-so chemistry that “Thor” and Becca had. In all fairness to the author, she can write some pretty awesome scenes. There are a few moments in Into the Blue that tried to bring me back, but ultimately, my lack of interest in the characters won out. I enjoyed the first book of this series, and I’m hoping that this one is just a hiccup in what started out to be a very promising series. ***I read and reviewed a paperback copy of the book gifted to the blog, from the publisher, in exchange for an honest review. All conclusions reached are my own***
