A priest is murdered. Whodunit and why? J.D. Robb takes us on a journey of gang life and Catholicism, as Lieutenant Eve Dallas peels back the layers of lies and deceit to find the truth. As always, she stands true to the cop she is while showing compassion for the shattered yet guilty killer. Suzie

Salvation in Death is the first book in the series where it was obvious that Robb/Roberts was starting to employ a ghostwriter (a claim she vehemently denies, though longtime fans can spot key stylistic differences in this and subsequent books). Still, it's a decent read, though the character quirks that drove the series to date are diminished.

Love the Eve Dallas series! Read one almost everyday! This one was really a page turner.
