About this ebook

The delicious and erotically charged sequel to The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty, from the author of Beauty's Kingdom.

This sequel to The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty, the first of Anne Rice's (writing as A.N. Roquelaure) elegantly written volumes of erotica, continues her explicit, teasing exploration of the psychology of human desire. Now Beauty, having indulged in a secret and forbidden infatuation with the rebellious slave Prince Tristan, is sent away from the Satyricon-like world of the Castle. Sold at auction, she will soon experience the tantalizing punishments of "the village," as her education in love, cruelty, dominance, submission, and tenderness is turned over to the brazenly handsome Captain of the Guard. And once again Rice's fabulous tale of pleasure and pain dares to explore the most primal and well-hidden desires of the human heart. Preceding the visceral eroticism of E.L. James’ Fifty Shades of Grey and Sylvia Day's Bared to You, and even more haunting than her own novel Belinda, this second installment is not to be missed.

I read the series years ago. This trilogy is not for the faint of heart or people looking for a "50 Shades" type of book. This book is for people who are into BDSM material or extreme erotica. These books came out before it was the "it thing" to read. Anne Rice name wasn't even on the cover, she used one of her pen names. Don't purchase if your not into BDSM or not willing to let go. IT'S NOT FOR EVERYONE!!! PERIOD. Do research b4 spending your money and then getting upset. Use Google.

I am writing this review under my husbands profile, anyways..I can see why some people may not like this, I myself am an erotica fan not normally into this type of kink, but it was well written and allowed me to explore parts of my curiosity with submission ect. Beauty really just rebelled taking in her new lust that was pretty hot lol. The captin was very sexy, as was her mistress, Tristan and Nicolas their love!!! great imagery. If your into kink read it!

This was the first erotic book series I ever read. It was strange and challenging. I had to rethink some of my notions of whats right and wrong and whats normal and whats "sick". There are many different kinds of love, and each one is ok. Each with is own pros and cons. If u decide to read this I suggest u do the same, forget the structure that society has pounded into ur brain since birth and enjoy the sensual nature of this form of sexuality.
