My only complaint or "unfulfilled desire" is that this book, as well as most gardening books out there, do not look at the many climates we have in the states. I live in central Florida, which has a sub-tropic (aka Caribbean or SE Asian) type of climate. Our growing season and available "traditional" crops are much different from the rest of the 90% of the US, including southern CA, which has more of a Mediterranean climate. I wish that Mr Jeavons would create a publication that dives into the many climate regions that the US has and the challenges and benefits of each region.
All-in-all...a quality publication that is a useful for starting point for beginners and a good reference or checkpoint for veterans.
