Overview

The fantastical sci-fi adventure of an extraordinary teenage girl and her amazing teammates, seeking the truth about the universe—and her own mysterious past.

Join seventeen year old Number Horowitz, daughter of legendary genius-adventurer Goliath Horowitz, as she and her companions board a cosmic train called the Non-Local Express, riding across the quantum sea and into the Infinite Spiral that leads anywhere, everywhere, and every place in between.

Time travel, other worlds, new dimensions, parallel universes: the Impossible Incorporated team can journey any place the mind can imagine—and also into mysteries far beyond imagination's reach. But the greatest mystery of all is—what happened to Goliath Horowitz? Number's father vanished when she was seven years old and she's determined to discover the truth about Goliath's disappearance, find him, and bring him home.

About the Author

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, J. M. DeMatteis was a professional musician and rock music journalist before entering the comic book field. DeMatteis has written almost all of the major DC and Marvel icons—including memorable runs on Spider-Man and Justice League; but his greatest acclaim has come for sophisticated original graphic novels like Seekers Into The Mystery, Blood: A Tale, The Last One, and Mercy. The autobiographical Brooklyn Dreams was picked by the ALA as one of the Ten Best Graphic Novels. His success in the comic book medium has led DeMatteis to work in both television (writing live action and animation) and movies (creating screenplays for Fox, Disney Feature Animation, directors Carlo Carlei, Chris Columbus and others). More recently, DeMatteis has written the fantasy novel Imaginalis, published by HarperCollins, the IDW mini-series The Adventures of Augusta Wind and its sequel Augusta Wind: The Last Story, DC's Phantom Stranger, Justice League Dark and Blue Beetle, episodes of the animated series Teen Titans Go! and Be Cool, Scooby-Doo, as well as the animated features Batman vs. Robin, Batman: Bad Blood and Justice League Dark. DeMatteis lives and works in upstate New York.
