About the Author

Lena Yokota-Barth was born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1985 and grew up mainly in Germany. It was during her maternity leave, at the end of 2016, that she started her blog, Berries and Buttercup, which stemmed from her passion for watercolour painting and DIY projects; in it she inspired her readers with colourful watercolours and DIY ideas. During her annual visits to the country of her birth, she kept coming into contact with the Japanese style of watercolour. She never lost sight of this and, in the course of 2017, specialised in the subject of watercolour.
