As seen on The Today Show! One of the best summer romance picks!

One of Publishers Weekly Best Romance Books of 2019!

A modern-day Muslim Pride and Prejudice for a new generation of love.

Ayesha Shamsi has a lot going on. Her dreams of being a poet have been set aside for a teaching job so she can pay off her debts to her wealthy uncle. She lives with her boisterous Muslim family and is always being reminded that her flighty younger cousin, Hafsa, is close to rejecting her one hundredth marriage proposal. Though Ayesha is lonely, she doesn't want an arranged marriage. Then she meets Khalid, who is just as smart and handsome as he is conservative and judgmental. She is irritatingly attracted to someone who looks down on her choices and who dresses like he belongs in the seventh century.

When a surprise engagement is announced between Khalid and Hafsa, Ayesha is torn between how she feels about the straightforward Khalid and the unsettling new gossip she hears about his family. Looking into the rumors, she finds she has to deal with not only what she discovers about Khalid, but also the truth she realizes about herself.

Girl in Korea ,

Best adaptation of Pride & Prejudice I’ve ever read

Looking for a fantastic P&P adaptation?
I highly recommend this book!
I just finished the audio version and was totally captivated the whole time.
I usually listen to audio books while doing house chores. Friends, I was looking for more housework to do so I could keep listening!

The author includes subtle nods to other Austen works, as well, in her characterization and some of the situations while totally creating her own unique and very engaging story.
All of you fans who love the polite and endearing love stories, that Austen was so good at weaving into her books, will just love this book. And those who always wanted to see P&P through Darcy’s perspective and wished that there had been more of a satisfactory resolution with Lydia, will also love this book.

I feel like I’m doing a commercial, but I’m serious, lol! I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed an Austen adaptation as much as I enjoyed this one.
So i just had to share.
Check it out! And if there’s any screenwriters reading this, let’s see this become a mini-series!

Book is good.

I am reviewing the audiobook. The narrator is horrible. Such a flat tone telling a good story. I will end up buying the hard copy. The audiobook is dreadful to listen to.
